Antarctic Explorer Visits Wimbish Pupils

Today, the pupils were fascinated by a visit from Randolph Sliester from the British Antarctic Survey, a real-life Antarctic explorer!
He talked to the children about the Antarctic environment, the animals who live there, and explained how we are learning to care for our planet better by using the research the scientists are doing aboard the RRS Sir David Attenborough Polar research ship, which he was responsible for commissioning and is responsible for operating.
They also had great fun exploring the Arctic weather kit and clothing!
