Oak Class Travelled By Boat To Inspire Writing

This week in Oak Class we have embarked upon a new focus book in English, Lost and Found by Oliver Jefferies, except we are retelling the story. We have all been brave writers attempting at least a sentence each day – well done everyone there have been some fantastic ideas and brave writing attempts.

We celebrate the star writer of the day up on our writing board, if you have not made it yet (the rule is I can only choose one a day… it’s a horrible job to choose one). I can’t wait to see how our version of the story goes.

To inspire us on Thursday we travelled on our own boat through stormy seas, watching waves crash (on the screen), feel the wind (our class fan) and even got a little wet from the sea spray (thank you Mrs Dear and the water spray), the children always enter into the spirit and continued to use our ship, named Barry, for the rest of the afternoon in their chosen learning.
