Birch Class Visit To All Saints Church For WW2 Topic
This week Birch Class took a trip to our local church (All Saints) to better understand how WW2 impacted the community.
We were joined by local vicar Hillary Walker, we learnt about how members of RAF Debden (now known as The Carver Barracks) was connected to us locally.
We visited some war graves from 1940 and then discussed how the church played a role with local soldiers and was a place they would attend during the war. There were also some very unique stories about the church which we were all very surprised about.
