Visit from Mr Roberts, Principal at Joyce Frankland Academy

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Mr Duncan Roberts, Principal at Joyce Frankland Academy in Newport.

Mr Roberts visited pupils in year 5 and 6 to speak to them ahead of their secondary school applications, answering questions from the pupils about their transition to secondary school.

The pupils asked some great questions about the facilities, subjects and houses at JFAN. We had questions regarding chess club, ping pong and uniform, one pupil asked ” Do we have to wear a jumper and a blazer?”

Parents were invited into school to attend a Questions and Answers session and to offer support with any concerns big or small regarding the move to secondary school.
