Fire Safety talk with Oak Class for Forest School
Forest School were joined by a familiar face, Mr Howard. But not to talk about PE, this time he explained to the pupils that he also works for the fire service.
Mr Howard talked about fire Safety and how to help keep each other safe in the event of a fire. We discussed fire safety for outside fires, BBQ’s and camp fires.
One pupil asked: Do you save cats up a tree?
Mr Howard replied: Yes we do, we have a special ladder to help us to get the cats down safely. He went on to tell the pupils that last week he received a call for a cow that was stuck in the river, we used our special tools to help get the cow out safely.
At the end of the session, Mr Howard asked if any of the pupils would like to try on his uniform, as you can see from the photos he had lots of volunteers!
