Forest School Visitors

Last weekend we had visitors to our forest school.

Our new site manager Mr Starkey and members of the Suffolk Bushcraft Group kindly volunteered their time to spend the weekend at the forest school.

While on site they managed to clear the forest school of nettles and hawthorn bushes that were rapidly trying to overrun the area, now the children can play and run freely around.

They also removed a very large amount of dead fallen tree branches from the play area and stacked them all in such a way that the children can create a rather large bug hotel that the children can study and document as part of a wildlife project.

Mr Starkey and the group also took the opportunity to have their annual Christmas dinner in the woods, which looked amazing.

We would like to thank Mr Starkey and the group for giving up their time to volunteer at the school and also their kind donation that will be put to good use.
