Year 6 – Bikeability

This week our year 6 pupils have completed their bike ability training. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them for growing in confidence and learning how to ride safely on the road.

We were lucky enough to have three instructors, they began by assessing each child’s cycling ability on the school playground.

By lunchtime they had progressed to the road and were exploring/learning; what to check before setting off,  who has priority, positioning in the road and how to safely ride on the road.

The pupils asked lots of great questions. We were really impressed, as were the instructors by their maturity and how sensible they all were when riding on the road. One instructor commented on how well behaved and supportive they were of one another, well done year 6!

The pupils each received a certificate and pin badge for completing their bike ability training.
