Parents Art Workshop
It was lovely to see lots of families join us for the art workshop recently. The children had been really excited all week about having an afternoon of art based around Van Gough. Parents and carers were able to hear all about how we teach art skills and see the progression of these through the school.
Birch class enjoyed designing rooms using polystyrene printing tiles, rollers and ink based around ‘The Bedroom’.
Willow Class used pastels to re create their own ‘The Starry Night’
and Oak Class used a range of lentils, tissue paper, pastels and collage to recreate one of the most famous painting of all – ‘Sunflowers’.
The work will now be mounted and displayed in the hall so we can all see and enjoy it on a daily basis.
