Christmas activities at Wimbish
It has been a busy month at Wimbish Primary Academy with an array of festive activities that staff, pupils, parents and carers have enjoyed. Here are some of the highlights:
Santa Dash
On Friday 8 December, pupils dressed in their best Christmas jumper and explored our large field as part of National Santa Dash. Well done to everyone for your efforts and laughter!
FOWS Late Night Shopping fundraiser
Thank you to everyone that came along to support the staff at Saffron Walden Late night shopping at the start of December. Mrs Troy, Miss White and Mrs Winfield did a marvellous job running the stall and raising money for the academy. Staff also met the stars of the Cinderella pantomime cast, Coco and Chanel, and the Mayor of Saffron Walden, Cllr Heather Asker.
Christmas lunch
On Friday 15 December, the academy gathered to enjoy a delicious festive lunch, with Christmas crackers donated by parent and teacher associated for Wimbish, FOWS. The pupils went outside after lunch to burn off some of the food!
Christmas Nativity
It would not be Christmas without the traditional nativity play! Brilliantly performed by Oak Class, the show included a pom pom dance and mince pies for parents. Also, Willow Class made fake snow in science.
Thank you to all staff and pupils for your hard work this term. We hope you and your families have a restful Christmas break, and look forward to welcoming you back in 2024.
